NASA MODIS Terra Satellite Photo Hurricane Wilma taken 21 October 2005 - 16:25 UTC 3200x4200 pixels - This may take a while to load depending on your connection.
The eye of Hurricane Wilma is just about to cross Cozumel in this true color image.
Here is a snapshot of the image:

Neither the Terra or Aqua NASA MODIS satellites will pass directly over Hurricane Wilma during the day today. Also, since it is the weekend, the engineers may not process a new image. So, we probably won't get one of these images again until Monday (if the storm is still threatening at that point).

Well, it appears I was wrong. The NASA guys got a good picture out of the oblique angles of their satellites, AND they worked on a weekend. Guess I'll have to post their new picture. I may not get to this until tomorrow though.

Ok...attached is an even later picture taken yesterday afternoon while Wilma was still over the tip of the Yucatan.
Once again...this is a 500m resolution picture which is rather large. It may take a while to load depending on your Internet connection.
