Because some members of Google Earth community have asked me for, I gather here the 74 majors folders I have posted (4728 placemarks). The topics are divided up as follows : History & Archaeology , historical overlay maps (5 maps), biography, literature, Mysteries , geography (including HImalaya). You can download all that folders together (1.8 Mo), but not the overlay maps (to big)

Good Gosh, man! This is the most extensive listing I've seen along these lines!

Most excellent. To me, this just illustrates a thought I've had, that there should be like a layer or something for these kinds of things. I've seen you, festershinetop, greenwood, and others posting great things like this, and it shows a definite interest.

I'll upload my file, which I thought was pretty big and impressive before I saw yours.

Good job.

p.s. I think this should be posted to the main Earth Browsing section as well, if you haven't already done it. There is a good bit of general interest here that people might not notice in just the history section.

umm.. post a link to the message containing the kmz, don't repost the kmz. Gotta keep the dupes to a dull roar..

Well, I ask any MOD (possibly the Chief). Is there any plan to create any folder or any thing to discriminate these valuable placemarks like these on the GE downloads (Picasso-special or Alexander the Geat's story, Micheal Jackson's life, etc) from those ordinary ones in your database? This I say because personally I would like to have them (if I were an anonymous person), as soon as I realize a folder like "Historical personalities" or "Great Artists" or the like.

Edit: O, I'm sorry, I think this better be a subject of a web site because it will be increase the list of the folders some hundred times more. Wouldn't it? But I still think there can be found a way between. Do you think in the same manner? It was only an loud thinking of mine.
