All the placemarks that people posts here will appear on the next data update as a layer of Keyhole Community BBS in GE. But what will happen with 3D models? Do they will appear in any layer? Or perhaps they will appear as a link to their post of this forum?
Thinkin' about it...

Hope they will keep our job under a 3D category or something, because, we must accept that some models are heavier and may crash some machines, so it should be optional
Otherwise, we may try to make a compilation ourselves.

Hi Guys,
I am a newby and I like the program but why do I see always the buildings in the grow color and not a building with glass.
It must be as natural. Also I thought rhat this program was via the satalite and that everything moved, people walking, car drivings etc..etc..
Then ut is real.
Also do anyone know if this program are updated or has it always the same pictures and options.
If so then is $400.00 a year a lot of money.
Do anyone a different program like this, that give the movement from people and cars. Please let me know.
Als a last word. I want to find the Los Angeles Dodgers Stadium but I cannot find it. Anyone help me please.

1. There is no program on earth that will give you a live satelite picture of the entire globe in the kind of resolution you dream about.
2. RTFM! You're asking FAQ questions.
3. This is ENTIRELY the wrong place for your post. Does it concern 3D models in GE? Does it have anything at all to do with the post by "Toolbar" to which you replied? No and no!

Well, I had assumed that it would work like with regular, non-3D placemarks, i.e. that an abbreviated marker would appear in the "Keyhole BBS" layer, which would contain only the name, description, and a "more" link to the forum article with the full KMZ/KML file.
However, since there is no layer for 3D-models in the Keyhole group, I'm starting to wonder...

You are correct that right now we are not crawling the 3D Models forum or handling 3D models during a crawl. Your expectation about how it should work is exactly right and we need to implement that ... as soon as we can.

Thanks for the info, Opus.
Right now it doesn't much matter to me, since I only posted one model of public interest - and last time I looked, at least three other people had posted regular placemarks for the same spot (so much for checking whether you're duplicating info, before posting), so I just posted replies to their posts with a link back to my model.
