This would be a very useful layer for astronomers who have to go mobile to get away from everyone's insecurity lights. Help us skygazers out folks and point your lights at the ground... I have a light pollution map as my wallpaper, but it's a little "warped" & wouldn't make a good overlay. I'll figure out where I got it from & try to make something. If I remember right, they had individual continents & I put them all together, thus explaining the warped look. But these individual maps would work well for overlays.
