This meteorite fell on July 14th, 2006 at ~10:15 am in the Ostfold region of Norway. Pieces were scattered from the village of Rygge to the center of Moss in a ~6 kilometer line.
The fall was witnessed by thousands of people, who described it as brighter than the sun, and many said they saw at least five pieces falling. One piece landed in a garden after breaking the limb of a plumb tree off. Another piece landed on a metal plate near a man who was using an outdoor toilet. This was the first piece recovered. This also in incluiding lunar meteorit Dhofar 1404 feel in Oman)
A third piece imbedded itself in the roof of a building in Moss and was found only after more than two weeks when rain water leaking into the building forced a search for the leak. A fourth piece weighing ~800 grams was found by Morten Bilet and myself on 30 July. The last know piece was found after breaking a fence and details of that one are not being shared, even the total weight of that piece is not known.reference::NHM Catalogue MetBase Met. Meteorit :Kalahari 009 at 13.5 kg (30 lbs.). Found 1999 Meteorites, including lunar and martian meteorites, are easily available for purchase on the Internet. Samples (end cuts, slabs, chips, crumbs, dust) of the lunar meteorites sell on the Internet (e.g., e-Bay) for between about $800 and $40,000 per gram, depending upon rarity (perceived or real) and demand. By comparison, the price of 24-carat gold is about $20 per gram and gem-quality diamonds start at $1000-2000/gram.
Most rocks advertised as lunar meteorites are, in fact, meteorites from the Moon sold by reputable dealers. Some are not. Caveat emptor. So Diamonds $2.000 per gram meteorits from mars or lunar $40.000 per gram

The discovery of a new meteorite in the U.K. is big news. But when the new find is a Pallasite, then you need to re-calibrate your Big News Detector!
To find a meteorite, even an ordinary chondrite is very rare, but to find one of the rarest types of meteorites (only 1 % of all falls are pallasites) then this is cause for excitement. The meteorite in question is the first of its kind to be discovered in the British Isles.Reference & image from:www.astronomyedinburgh.org/publications/journals/50/self1.shtm

NORTON COUNTY, Kansas - Witnessed Fall
--------------------------After a brilliant fireball and a tremendous noise, a huge shower of stones fell over a large area of Norton County, Kansas, and Furnas County, Nebraska. This meteorite, which fell on 18 February 1948, was named Norton County, and classified as an Achondrite, Ca-poor, Aubrite, fragmental breccia. Aubrites are quite rare and this is the largest known in historical times. The main mass weighing more than 1070 kg is the center of the meteorite display at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Norton County is a very historical and scientifically valuable meteorite and almost impossible to obtain as nearly all of the material is in the University of New Mexico collection. -----------------------------------Iron Meteorite Annaheim
This meteorite was found in 1916 about 10 km north of Annaheim, a settlement somewhat about 100 km east of Saskatoon.
-----------------------------------------
It was discovered by Mr. William Huiras who was mowing hay on his farm. It is believed to be related to a spectacular fireball observed some two years earlier. It is a crescent shaped medium octahedrite, with a mass of nearly 12 kg and showing very clearly the dimpling or 'thumb-printing' of the surface which is often found on iron meteorites.
The main mass is currently held in the Canadian National Meteorite Collection, Ottawa (Ref. R.A.A. Johnston & H.V. Ellsworth (1921): Trans. Roy. Soc. Canada., Sect. IV, p. 92.) (Photo courtesy Geological Survey of Canada) Reference: miac.uqac.ca/MIAC/iron.htm miac.uqac.ca/MIAC/iron.htm
