All Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) ATMs. If you find any discrepancies please post here. Please post latitude and longitude coordinates in decimal format not in degrees, minutes, seconds.
Please note that most latitudes and longitudes were obtained automatically using an address lookup program. Thus if a shopping centre has an address at the corner of two streets for example, the icon for the ATM will appear near the corner of the two streets rather than exactly where the ATM actually is within the shopping centre.

Hi This is a really useful post as I lets me identify a lot of towns, some that are hard to find.
I have noticed that it must be in one of the community groups as well as they are displayed all the time.
However, when I try to download the file, it does not come up in my temporary places. I wanted to have it there so I could use it to find places and also where atms are without having to go to the place to look.
Any idea why it doesn't load a copy into tempory like all the other files I download from here?
thanks Mark

Not sure what you mean about download. You just download it to some place on your PC then open it in GE. ie. File / Open. Then it appears in your Temporary places.
Also not sure what you mean about it being in the community layer already. I have been waiting for 2 months for it to appear in the community layer. When I look it is not there yet. Are you saying it is there when you look?

I just discovered that they are in the Unranked community layer. Now just have to see how to get them into the normal community layer.

Sorry I should have said in the unranked community.
Ok - I just tried this again and it works as I expected. Before when it loaded you could not open it up to show all the atm locations in the file.
Now when I load it, it will open and show all the locations.
Anyway, its now working like I expected. Amazing what rebooting a computer can do.

Hi I am not sure which Ratznium refers to here, but I found the following one can use a slight correction:
CBA ATM Posted by: PMOlsen MOBIL NORTH PARRAMATTA 81 VICTORIA RD NORTH PARRAMATTA 02-9630-2484
Its supposed to be on the WEST (Left) side of the Macarthur St, where the shed is, that is the MOBIL pump, with the CBA ATM. I just came across it as I live 2 streets away and was locating my home here.
Hope that helps.

Most of the locations were produced using software that converts from an address to Lat and Long. That placemark is about 20m from the ATM which I think is pretty close.

Great work!
The atm locations in Alice Springs are a little off. The ALICE SPRINGS 16 PARSONS ST, ALICE SPRINGS NT 08-8952-2722 - 3 ATMS are located at latitude: 23°41'55.60"S and longitude: 133°52'56.50"E
The YEPERENYE SHOP CTR 36-38 HARTLEY ST ALICE SPRINGS 08-8952-5177 ATM is located at about latitude: 23°41'57.58"S and longitude: 133°52'50.75"E
Also, I think google might have improved the quality of Alice Springs images on google earth version 4, they used to be extremely blurry when I used version 3.

The location for "CBA ATM lat=-33.418796, lon=149.592651 MOBIL RAGLAN GREAT WESTERN HIGHWAY BATHURST 02-6337-3051" is a long way out.
Reading the pointer details at the correct location (south west of the airport) the lat/long is:
33 25' 20.24" S 149 39' 02.02" E
I frequently drive past this location living in Bathurst.

could you please move the whole stuff to dynamic data layers (other forum)? in some areas most placemarks are now those cba spots and it`s really difficult to find anything else. all stuff in "dynamic data layers" only appears in GE if you have donloaded it to your computer.

Its all well and good for people to know where ATM's are, but having them all over the place is kind of annoying. The fact that you also found out the exact location of all the CBA ATM's in Australia and spent the time outting all that into Google Earth is also completely sad, you have too much spare time on your hands. Most places hand out maps to visitors/tourists showing where ATM's are anyway.
My point is, people like you add so much nonsense to google earth, that it makes it hard to focus on where you are and what you're looking at, because there are so many information pins attached that you can almost not click anywhere wwithout going to a post!
Just thought you should know.

You seem to not understand about filtering there is a button on the side which allows you to turn on and off features you do or do not want. I find it useful sometimes to have nav on but not with all the lines everywhere so I TURN the OFF when not using them.

I agree to a level; Spamming of google earth info links with the ATM locations is not welcome. It's a bit unethical too, in my opinion. It should be on some different layer, say 'shopping and services'. This way it's not a helpful information, but a cheap and tastless marketing. I hope someone from google will spot it and delete or at least displace all of them.

I agree 100%
Absolute nonsense having thousands of CBA ATM's everywhere - shameless advertising. Rather than place them under the "Banks/ATM's" subcategory of "Shopping and Services" - he's gone the more 'in your face' route of 'Google Earth Community'
If you were fair dinkum about it, you'd do various ATM's, not bank specific, only in remote and rural areas, rather than clustering 10 together in a km radius in the centre of Sydney.
Absolute junk and I do hope someone at google earth rids the place of trash like this!

That's hardly the point. Most of us like info boxes containing the local church, of the sports field, or some other community locale.
None of us wants spamming and next thing you know this guy will try and justify pinning the 1,500 Woolworths stores, or the 7,500 McDonalds restaurants or something ridiculous. Maybe every Telstra telephone booth too? Give us a break.

The public telephones won't be a problem - Telstra seems determined to remove them as fast as members would be able to post them.

CBA ATM at Old Cleveland Rd ATM is not in the middle of the road but out the front of the building on the southern side of the road. The premises is no longer the stationary store but the campaign office of Chris Bombolas, the Labor candidate for Chatsworth.

I couldn't agree more. They should be in the "Shopping and Services" layer just like all the banks in the US are. Problem is users cannot add placemarks there.
Before I created the post in Sept 2005 I asked the moderators how I could get it copied to the above layer (I think there used to be a specific "Banks" layer back then). They did not say how and said I could only add it to the community layer.
I would like it in the correct layer so if you would like to help in getting the post moved I would be glad for your assistance.
PS. I notice that over 2100 people have downloaded the file so it must be of some interest.

Well, it's all well and good having these ATM's added to google Earth, but I'd be interested in the %age accuracy...... You see, there appears to be an ATM in the park right outside my house that I've never noticed before until I looked on here tonight....... I thought it was located more SE on the map, and was at the local shopping centre in Forest Lake 4078, Australia? My advice is that if you are going to add such things to this amazing program, can you make sure that it is going in the RIGHT place?

Re: Casula Mall ATM Hi and thanks for helping people out by letting them know where the ATM's are.
You have indicated two for Casula Mall, in the middle of the round about on the corner of Kurrajong Rd and Ingham Drive and the other a little more south west in the car park. If you can, remove one and put the other say at 33°56'52.98"S 150°54'0.89"E as this is the approximate location of the bank at this moment and the ATM's are outside the building facing the car park.

Well at least it should be in the TRAVEL INFORMATION forum under the GE Community Forum.
It is becoming very annoying now having the ATMs posted in the EB forum otherwise they are great.

Please find a way to remove these from the Earth Browsing layer. They are clogging up the screen, and not everyone banks with CBA.
Yes I know I can turn off the layer but then I lose all the other Earth browsing sites which are actually interesting.

I would like to bring your attention the following placemark;
TUGGERANONG OP1 ATM 2 TUGGERANONG HYPERDOME ANKETELL STREET, TUGGERANONG 02-6293-1000
The placemark for the ATM in the suburb of Tuggeronong is actually placed on Tuggeronong Hill, located more than 10km away.
Should be located 35 25' 04.77" S 149 04' 09.89" E
rather than its current location 35 30' 21.53" S 149 06' 33.60" E
This group of placemarks raises the need for some sort of ignore function; so we can focus on more interesting information layers.

Hey, The ATM noted at: 38°01'54.22" S 145°18'21.97" E
is meant to be at the service station up the road at: 38°02'09.32" S 145°18'21.01" E
please amend this as this is a favourite for guests.

Hi,
I want to do something similar in South Africa. I want to add all the ATMs and Bank Branches on GE as well as on GM.
However I want them to directly appear in GE under the (Places of intrest -> Banks/ATMs).
The data will be accurate as because it will directly come from the bank.
Who can help on how to, directly include it into that layer?
Thanks

WHY IS THIS POST NOT UNDER THE 'ATM'S' LAYER?
Thia is absolutely annoying. They can't be turned off, they're locations are completely wrong, and what about other banks? Do you work for The Commonwealth Bank or something?
You frustrate everybody by having your employer in the main layer.
Downright rude.
Make them "turn off able", without having to lose everything else, and put them where they belong... UNDER ATM's

I agree fully. That is where I want them. I have asked Google how to add data to that layer but they have not told me. Tell me how to do it and I will move them immediately.

Hello everyone,
This post is currently in the Dynamic Data Layers forum, so it shouldn't be included in the GE Community layer (the blue "i"s). However, there were problems with the last update to the community layer, and posts were added which shouldn't have been, including ones which had been removed from forums which make up the community layer. This is why, Troobador, you are seeing blue "i"s for these ATM locations. Hopefully this situation should be corrected soon.
PMOlsen, the data for "Places of Interest" layers are provided to Google by third parties. I don't know where the ATM data comes from, so I suggest you contact Google via this form.
You can also trying adding them to business listings results for Google Maps and Google Earth by submitting the listing through the Local Business Center. See Google Maps Help Center for more information. There is a bulk upload option.
If I search for "ATM" over Sydney for example, I see the business listings are provided by TruLocal. If I then click "See user-created content" your placemarks are displayed, so they are already accessible in GE, and should remain so even after they are removed from the Community layer.
Hope this helps.
