nebu99 and loather,
Thanks to you both, we are currently at nearly 80 Dutch locations. I have credited you in the posted files - first one in gets the credit in most cases.

Here's a blurred out area with a wide stripe of grey. Somebody has already put a placemark here indicating it's a satellite launch site (Xichang). But we don't appear to have this noted in our listed of censored areas. Price, what do you think?

Something different: China : Muslim cemeteries and graves
And for fun, see: China > Mystery message in the ice

Ken, Thanks for the heads up on the Xichang Satellite Launch Center.
I had previously added it from Kassper's posting of 20 June 2006, but I couldn't find any name other than the nearby city of Mianning. I'm changing the name in the next Censorship upload, but the recent Netherlands and upstate New York image updates are keeping me busy, so it'll be a couple of days.
I would have caught it before, but the original posting in the Earth Browsing forum only shows up at very low altitudes.

Hi Price,
It looks like a lot of these have been fixed recently. Albania, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Italy, and so on...
There were a couple that were still there, but for the most part the ones that were still there had interesting features to look at (land, ships, icebergs).

How is the ones with lines in the desert a 'data problem'?
http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile20423/Chinese-Desert---lines.htm
That is not an error in the data, that image is showing what is actually on the ground (or at least, what was on the ground when the image was taken).

Philippe,
You're right about Price thinking the 'Houkeng strange markings' are a data error/spurious imagery, but this is not an imagery error either. If you look at other DigitalGlobe scenes of that area, you can see progress in the construction of whatever is being done there. You can order these images from DigitalGlobe if you want to see for yourself.

dom88,
You asked that the following be added to spurious images:
A is now added to Spurious Images. Interestingly, the blue and red were apparently not in the original DigitalGlobe images.
B is not spurious - just curious
C is in the censorship listing, and its discovery predates yours in THIS POSTING
D is likewise censorship whose discovery predates yours in THIS POSTING
In answer to your later posting, I had participated in the long thread dealing with the "Houkeng strange markings" where we concluded they are actually markings on the ground. I had neglected to remove it from Spurious Images. Spathiinc is corrrect, and it has now been removed.
