JoseGil,
Barcelona is one of the fortunate places which has received a new layer of higher resolution imagery available when the user zooms in to a low altitude.
Interestingly, if you download the file noted in my earlier posting, you will see the area to the north of the city which is misaligned 35 meters, until the user zooms in to see the newer high-resolution data.
It also shows other areas in Spain which are misaligned to varying degrees - Malaga by 20 meters and Granada suburbs by 440 meters. Zooming helps Malaga, but not Granada.

Yes, a lot of the censoring appeared or grew after the high-res update for the Netherlands. And the problem is exacerbated by the fact that the censored area are larger then the object censored. For instance the marinekazerne amsterdam related patch also obscures tourist attractions like the Scheepvaartmuseum and the Replica of the VOC Ship. Why is this, and what the rationale of censoring in the first place?

I live in Ashburn, VA, about 5 miles north of Dulles Airport. Construction of my house began in November of 2002. On the current images, my house and all neighbor houses show an empty lot. In fact this data from what I can see is near 4.5 years old! Why is it so difficult to get new images of the richest country (Loudoun) in the US, which is 35 miles west of Washington, DC, near one of the busiest airports in the country and is one of the fastest growing counties in the country. This image is so old, you can barely recognize what is there today from that image.

mikelotus,
Google's acquisition and installation of new, higher resolution images is a continuing business and technical process. See THIS POSTING, for example.
Google has provided many improvements on an ongoing basis, especially in the last three months. They do not preannounce what they are working on.

A friend of mine just showed me his "lot" where he now raises his family just outside the Highlands in northern New Jersey. He built a house there about 4 years ago.

This problem has been added to the list of "Missing Images" in THIS POSTING. Also, the additional images have been added to the list of "Needless Images" in THIS POSTING.
The DigitalGlobe image which was apparently used shows the entire island.
