Your fuel depot in Braintree, Massachusetts, has been added to the censored locations, along with 3 other depots and Hanscom AFB. Massachusetts' new censorship activity now needs a state-wide analysis.
Eidted to note the addition of your finding in New Bedford, which has been added.
As a first time user, I've found this community pretty hard going. All I really want to do is report to someone at Google Earth a blurred image/sector of the North Island of New Zealand map. The coordinates are:
northwestern most corner: 37deg41min50secS, 176deg17min42secE northeastern most corner: 37,42,36S, 176,19,44E southeastern most corner: 37,44,06S, 176,19,38S southwestern most corner: 37,43,42S, 176,17,33E
This is a surprising blurred area, since the areas around it are high resolution, and since the area is a sigificant natural disaster possibility, with an active volcano (White Island) is just off the coast, and the land area adjoining an area with significant geothermal activity.
I heard someone from Google the other day on the radio talking about how important Google Earth can be for civil defense preparedness. Seeing this poor image in such a geologically active area makes me wonder. It's also a bit of a bummer since I can't see my house, which is right on the edge of this blurred area.
There are a number of low-resolution areas along the coast of the Bay of Plenty. Google does not pre-announce their data upgrade actions, but you can make your requests known to Google by following Lrae's instructions in THIS POSTING.
I have trouble with goolge earth pictures in the region where I live, in Alcoi, Alicante (Spain), and near to it, on coordinates 38º45' N y 0º 25'20'' W, we can see three diferent image layers, with different colours (this is no timportant), which doesn't match each others. I first saw this the last time these images were updated, several months ago. It seems to be a mistake joining new images with old ones. At 0º24'30'' W, we can see the limit among diferent image sets, with their non-matching borders. If you watch from an altitude of 15 km, you can see all the region, and you can to be aware of the problem.
I would know if is it possible to correct this. Thanks
Hungary, Budapest, the altitude data and the satellite imagery is off about 150 meters. I try to attach my first folder with two placemarks, one is the top by altitude and other is top by imagery. Unfortunately I do not have GPS coordinates handy to see which is real.... :-(
I believe you are noting that the highest point of Janos Hegy is not correctly located. Google's terrain data is 90-meter, meaning a sample is taken every 90 meters. Therefore, the offset you note is generally within that range.
I note in passing that the runway data for Budapest International airport shows the current imagery for that city (except for the northeast corner) is now very well aligned. It's about the best I have seen anywhere - which you can confirm from the attached placemark showing the precise runway locations.
While Google has worked on more accurately pinpointing the terrain of global mountain locations in recent months, that peak was probably not on their initial list. Google does not pre-announce their data upgrade actions, but you can make your requests known to Google by following Lrae's instructions in THIS POSTING.
The area you noted is misaligned about 75 meters southwest by south. It has been outlined and listed under Watsonville, CA, USA in THIS POSTING.
Your good outline was increased to include the 450-meter wide brighter strip on the western side, which contributes to the misalignment, albeit slightly differently.
