Perhaps it should have a placemark of its own to avoid confusion. Here is a picture of the first airplane to land at the South Pole. From www.douglasdc3.com Que Sera Sera landing as seen from the circling Globemaster. Fitted with skis, they were among the first planes to land there. And turboprop versions still make the flight.
