I used to live under the flight path for small planes near Long Beach Airport (LGB).
You could hear the DC-3 coming in on approach in the afternoon everyday from Catalina
Welcome to GE Mike,Your very lucky...Thats one of the best places to watch 3's in the LA area

Correct and incorrect. Air Cargo Express which is now Everts Air Cargo flies C-46 aircraft. Never have flown DC-3s. EAC is a part 121 airline. Everts Air Fuel is a part 125, they also have C-46s. Both EAC & EAF also fly DC-6s.

Not a DC-3, C-46 owned by Everts Air Cargo (formerly Air Cargo Express). They are a part 121 airline. Everts Air Fuel is a part 125.

Any version of a DC-3, civilian or military, whole or in pieces, is a good find. Also a number of other planes which look enough like DC-3's to fool most people most of the time get added to the list so they don't get posted and reposted. This one was found but hadn't made the list until you re-discovered it. Good eyes.
