do not worry, take it easy, nothing serious!
-of course it is!-

i am not a kind of those who arouse hatred against nations (and their people) realized the trianon peace-treaty as a benefit, besides it was the biggest, most unfair and mindless price hungary paid in its history i believe.

i know the flood of history will not turn back, "same old fears and the same old crimes" coming continuously and we have to look forward.

my purpose is only give a foretaste -adressed to all GE fans and more- of Europe before this dark interwall of hungarian history.

KMZ (3,15 MB) includes:
placemarks: several settlements of greater-hungary with their hungarian names
overlays:
-theathres of Hungary until 1930
-hungarian counties at the turn of the century
-territorial and economical aspects of the trianon peace-treaty on Hungary
-transylvania topomap (with a short descript of the religional situation todays)
check them one by one!

and do not forget to check out my
Székely Lands and
Hungary 1090 - 2001 (Map Tour)
posts below in this thread!!!

Ave all friends across whole wide Europe and beyond!

PS: exciting debate on the theme Transylvania can bee seen HERE.

Hello Gabor,

I love your posts.

Here are two URLs for road maps of Hungary.

You have the skills to overlay them into GE.

How can you say that is nothing serious when you offend your neighbours, including romanians, serbs, croats, and slovaks, going from the ideea that in 1918 it was a great empire. Hungary was only a part of that empire. What are you doing is only ultranationalism and antisemitism, without doubt. You don't care about others, about your neighbours. Anyway the bad things will never stand up. It seems that ancestral barbaric feelings are still present . . .

Here I stop my friend because I know the limits of common sense.
Goodbye and pax vobiscum

dear cflaviu!

i have been really shocked reading your post. i cannot imagine what did i do to you to hate me so relentless.
it is a historical forum and every word i wrote, every overlay i made were on the subject of history.
did not say a word about other nations you quoted in your last post. these are not the fault of the countries where they had happened and not even mine. But they just had happened, they are history... i hope!
(by the way i have a numerous acquaitance from all of them -romanians included- who hardly would agree with the words you said to me and neither do i.)

...i have checked your earlier posts...
search my nick to check my ones!
those are not the witnesses for the prosecution!

Hello GrandPa!

thanks for the great URLs, but -i am sory to say- could not find the right way to gain hi-res pics from them so far...

ha tudsz, kérlek segíts! (if you can, please help me!)

thx in advance:

gábor

...oh and maybe something essential to know for you:

"Ojan régen volt, hogy még igaz sem volt.
It was so long ago, that it was not even so [ true ]. (old hungarian idiom, not all that well translated.)"

corrected:
"oly rég volt, tán igaz sem volt..." (oly=olyan means so, tán=talán means may or perhaps. these abbreviations are correct in hungarian grammar with some literary overtone but also exist in spoken everidays' language)

best wishes(:

Szerbusz Gabor

If you goto any of the two links below, then use your PrtScn (print-screen, key)
to capture the screen. Paste it into Paint application that comes with windows.

After you crop the picture to what you desire and you may change it in other ways, save it a a jpeg file. Should result in high resolution picture.

hi, Nagypapa!

thanks the helping hand my distant benefactor.

actually i got this method you proposed and not even this is my problem.
robot work is my problem involved with that...(:

as a matter of fact i should write my diplom-work instead of industrial overlay- and post manufacturing but gosh, i felt in love with GE and have another topic-project again!
maybe i should pre-post it to you as a PM or email before i launch it as i am honestly would like to know your opinion.

best wishes:
g

Hi everyone!

Here you are an info and map collection on Székelyföld and ethnical content of eastern europe.

Székely lands

pic credit

The Székely or Szeklers (Hungarian: Székely, Romanian: Secui, German: Szekler) ( 'sék-ei' in pronunciation ) are a Hungarian ethnic group mostly living in Transylvania in Romania, with a significant population also living in Vojvodina, Serbia and Montenegro. Most of the world's Székely population live in Romania and they are tightly concentrated in an area known as Székelyföld (Szekler Land). Based on the latest Romanian statistics, approximately 1,400,000 ethnic-Hungarians live in Romania, mostly in Transylvania. Of these, about 670,000 consider themselves Székely, and mainly live in the counties of Harghita, Covasna and parts of Mures. Székelys hence accounting for an important part of the Hungarian minority in Romania.
The Székely are of uncertain origins, subject to much debate among themselves and among scholars. A widespread theory asserts that they descend from the warrior tribe lands, on which the Magyars soon settled, along frontier mountains to defend against invasions from Tatars and other menacing people from the east. Székely people adhere proudly to their Hungarian identity.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Szekler

KMZ (447 KB) includes:
placemark:
-pointing the székely area including a short description of the székelys
overlays (with links of maps) /check them one by one with placemark/:
-székely lands in 1872
-hungarian regions in transylvania 1910 (just before trianon treaty)
-ethnic groups in eastern europe 1995
check them one by one!
