BMLuggage, thanks for the laugh! I just joined this forum and yours was the first attachment I clicked on. Oh, I can tell already that I'm going to LOVE Google Earth and all the other geography freaks on this site.

well, not only held together by tape but "they" tried it also by stitching.
Maybe they're not finished yet.......check it out

If you do a lot of zoomed in searching you'll find a lot of that type of stitching.
Other line effects are more rare, but I've spotted quite a few (that I didn't placemark) in only a few days of using GE.
The tape phenomenon must be the most bizarre. Here's another post with exactly the same brand of tape.

Just found a pretty bad 17.5 km stitch in Thailand while looking for something else. I wonder how long they can be...

Yep, its really a great piece of software, trully amazing imo...
Who would know that our planet is all stiched and taped together?!?
