Lut desert is unique in the western part for the special terrain called 'Kalut' in the local language. They are, in fact, longitudinal erosions in a sedimantary field in NW to SE direction. The placemark shows the location of a desert camp with a guide near Shahdad. A road continues to the North, which passes very starnge and beautiful erosional patterns.

As a kermanian I am very interested to going to this place for astronomy, because it has a very clear sky for observation,
