Anyone have an idea what this circle & line marking is about? It's about .15 mile in diameter and it looks like it was created very carefully.
My first thought was a North/South compass, but it doesn't line up for either true north or magnetic north.

its a bombing target. On the southern end, look for the craters. Search for bombing targets... various ones (mostly in Nevada) have been posted... one is even a hexagram.

I think you're right. I thought that it was strange that it has a paved road running right through the center of it, though.
It turns out that if you follow this road east a couple of miles, you find some sort of complex with what looks like some really large bunkers and rows of smaller somethings that may be bunkers as well.
At the north of the complex is what appears to be another target -- it looks like a giant (over 600 feet) frisbee. I'm including a placemark.

... and then, if you keep following the road, there are some impressive 50-foot bomb craters. (placemarked)
I hope this road is gated. It looks like it turns off a state highway -- it would be a bad place to go joy-riding.

The reason there is a road that goes through this bombing target is that it's no longer in use. If you look east there is a larger bullseye, which is currently in use.

The area also show M1-A1 tanks, and nuclear weapons bunkers. The circular markings suggest underground nuclear testing and the above ground make your own guess.

What is in the center of the concentric circles to the east? Any ideas?

This is a bombing range. Fallon Naval Air Station Bombing Range to be specific. If you follow US95 northward (that's the hiway just west of the mark) for approximately 19 miles you will see the Fallon Naval Air Station on the east side of the hiway.

Bombing Target. See if you can find any more of them. (hint: There is another one a few hundred yds. to the W.)
