Here's a hi-res inset of Candlemas and Vindication Islands in the South Atlantic, surrounded by icebergs. There's at least a hundred of them, all shapes and sizes and some of them pretty impressive. I've tagged two that are over 1100' long. What's cool is that you can see what's under the surface, the 90% (or whatever the ratio is) of the berg that's submerged. You can look at some and think, "That ones about to roll over".

Icebergs indeed! This is what high res is for.

Inspired by your quote, I tried to find one in the act of rolling over, but the best I could find was some that have recently shed some ice as evidenced by the whitewater/sea foam left behind. I thought I would post a few pics of these beautiful bergs here.

Thanks for pointing this beautiful image. I love ice, so pure and fragil. So short his life. These are really lovely images of them.
Thanks..

I read once that 85-95% of an icebergs mass is underwater. This in itself indicates that you will never see one roll over. But I'm not an iceberg expert so take that with a grain of salt. ;-)

u can measure the iceberg length by using the ruler tool in Google Earth topbar. Some helpfool tools are there. Also i wish there were more high resolution shots of islands and icebergs.

I've been poring over these images. I can't for the life of me see how you could tell whether these are or aren't rolling over! What's the secret?

I believe that you can tell that by the waves around the iceberg... meaning that it was moving, or rolling over.
If theres water over him, maybe this side was upside down b4.
