Hallo Massiviolencia.

Very difficult this one,, but interesting story, here the rest of this interestings story.

In more recent times the island was bought by Mark and Wendy Veevers-Carter, who planted coconuts and sisal as cash crops, the old guano mines having been exhausted. In 1970 Mark caught a ship to Mombasa for some urgent dental work. He died under anesthetic in the dentist’s chair, and despite repeated daily messages via Seychelles radio, which broadcast twice daily to the outer islands, Wendy didn’t learn of Mark’s death until the ship returned, and she and the children were taken back to England.

Since 1977 the Seychelles government has owned Astove. The island was abandoned in the last ten years because of the cost of keeping it manned and supplied. It is hoped that Astove will form part of a large natural reserve that will incorporate all four islands of the Aldabra Group.

left side of island a little upper the site i indicated like possible wreak.

Looking at this im asking myself if it maybe is a old and wreak dock, what do you think?

I cant imagine a ship going trought the reef to parking near the beach.

Yes,, I thinks so, some sort of landing-stage, jetty,??
Its not a wreck of a ship, and its not made of steel, you dont see the rusty brown color, we have to go there and look,

So what it is,,?????

I have seen this derelict Staten Island ferry run agound on the Raritan River in NJ for years and years. Does this qualify as a wreck?

Not sure how to describe its location on GE except - Lat 40°29'4.55"N Long 74°23'33.21"W
