as far as i have heard, this was a coal transport wooden ship who took fire at the end of XIX Century due to a lack of cooling water. It was originally outer in the sea, but the winds and the sea took it where now it resides. The beach's name is il relitto (the shipwreck)

Yes, you're right, my fault. From a higher viewing legel the info-icons were covered by the bigger placemark-Icon of my own placemark. Doh :-)
