My macintosh accesses a better data base and my PC cannot. Better means more high resolution stuff worldwide.

Your PC may need a cleaning in Cache (Options window).

Actually I never seen this data base since I used my faster PC. It is only on the Mac that I get really good stuff ( 16 meg video is a big slow down ). For example, on the PC I never saw hi res for tehran while on the mac, I found a house I lived in and could see the 21 meter swimming pool.

I think Tehran is newly in hi-res. Long-time-used GEs need clearing cache. Do that in your Options window and tell us what happens.

Besides being fun and informative, the forum is been helpful to allow one to learn Google Earth,s operation. If this forum was not here, II would have never solved my problem except by chance (and a very slim one).

I like to say besides you providing me with the correct answer after telling me twice, google also replied to my email a week later with the same answer. I take back what I said about how hard it is to get help. You were patient as I should have followed your instructions the first time and google being as large as it is, was suprisely personal and helpful. Although there answer was a long list of things to do with your solution to, yours was one point and simple.

Your experiment should be one example for those who need an answer just at the time. Google should reply asap (though not timely) but it also creates this forum to share our experiences. As the respected members have read "all" the posts and problems, they naturally are faster than Google.  Add also our addiction to GE and to this forum.
This forum is larger than Google <- in number, of course. And Google is bigger than us as it lets us gather in here.
