Have been running GE v3 on my lappy and it makes me very happy.
Now that I see v4 Beta as arrived, would like to ask a few q's from those who survived...
The greatest update ever!
Okay..slay me for poor poetic license. Slay for possibly poor vision.
Have i missed something so.....so... oh, you know...a quick hit list of FAQ's that goes through installing the upgrade? Insert tab A into slot B? Uninstall v3 first? A quick hit of things you better DO before you hit <ENTER> ???
Thanks in advance for either the help or the hoo-haa's from somewhere East of the Rockies, West of the Mississippi.. Tulsa, Oklahoma
Hearty laughter is always encouraged

G'Day Prelude It's good to welcome such a happy dude ! This request, how could one elude.
You may have a lappy, but to keep you happy, these few little hints you must do.
V3 you should keep so V4 you can peep, it will be but a miniscule leap.
Keep the layers all on, so they all will pass on, trust me with this, cause it ain't a con.
Just upgrade to V4, as if you've done it before, and you will see images galore.
When you get there my friend, Follow the trend, And set your caches a high,
There's one more tip, so you do not trip, and end up falling from sky,
Don't make the blue, Card drivers, renew, That's the list of things to do !
Mississippi to the East, Rockies to the West, Lets hope the upgrade is blessed !
LOL

And there I think lies the problem, maybe Under Help/upgrades oh woe is me.. no upgrades available at this time is what I see even though I am running V3

My dear Prelude, Your vision was crude. To nay see how the upgrade is done.
Just click on THIS PAGE With no reason for rage, And click on install Version 4.
If you follow the leads, You'll have no more needs, Cause V3's overwritten by 4

Indeed you ARE no_stranger here the tips you have given were followed to the letter
Duly noted the advice , m'dear All is done as you said, and feels sooo much better!
Nary a hiccup or even a blip, all handled seamlessly behind the scenes, happily so .....
You are in fact quite correct, my vision is crude. Sadly it is true, they are no longer as sharp as my wit, a surprising and unexpected gift from the warrior gods who collectively call themselves "Chemotherapy". The battle was victorious, but not without side effects, but i have kept my head high, even though I can longer drive.
And I am forever in debt to the kindness of patient strangers such as you for helping me find my way through the wildnerness of sooo many threads to provide the information that is my immediate need., without me having to fess up and say I can read only a little these days.
But as they say.....Help IS on the way! In a couple of weeks, I will rely once more on the wizards as they slice and dice the adducter and abducter muscles surrounding my eyes, and with luck and ....believe it or not, the blessing of having a very good brain.... I will see only what I should see, and not see three of everything!
-------------------- No, I really MEANT to do that!

I'll second that, Jeffry... one of the more entertaining threads going right now. Sadly, my linguistic ability doesn't extend to prose. Thanks for the entertainment, you two.

You are welcome my friend, Anytime, now or then, The pleasure is truely mine,
The pleasure to help is shared all around, There's many a stranger to find,
you will find very soon the strangers are gone, and friendships will quickly bloom,
A joke or a laugh, even the serious side, You'll never be lost, there's always here to hide.
Good luck in a couple of weeks, here's hoping that the wizards upgrade from V3 to V1 goe's OK
Cheers.
