What a great thread!
It was fun to look at each item and then think about it and then read the replies. I saw good explanations for most everything except the patterns in Iraq. It almost looks like a city layout but I doubt that's what it is.
If you go into Syria a bit from there, there are a lot of other great things to ponder. The big black spot, the "walled" square, which really looks more like the "ditched" square. And all the crazy pattern tire tracks.
So all you smart A%#es that were so clever on the easy ones. What is the stuff in the Iraq post?

These are prop wash marks that scar the bottom growth, from a power boat at low tide or boat with deep draft.

Parallel features off the coast of NC. A distinct edge can be seen of what looks like a submerged, Carolina bay. The area within this 'bay feature' contains parallel features that seem to be equidistance apart.
-Actually, this is a very common sight near an active inlet. The discoloration you see is called a "plume" and is actually being created by water exiting the Carolina Beach Inlet on the falling tide. Scroll a little farther south to the mouth of the Cape Fear River and you'll notice the same thing happening there.

Are these ancient wells? The semi-circles are odd and I thought they could be formed by the wind. Does anyone know?
