* set time span to maximum & allow model to load completly

Bayou Teche is of the Ishak (Attakapas) language meaning Winding Snake. The bayou was the Mississippi River approx. 3500-2800 B.P (Teche - Beige Polygon).

also includes placemark for Avery Island, Home of Tobassco. The salt domes that create Avery are also used for strategic oil reserves.

The waterway in this model is one of the contributing factors for the land loss in the USGS overlay above.

I added a few more tid bits to the initial post that you also might find of interest.

you might want to turn on the Geographic Web Layer , the Avery Island placemark in the Tug on Intracoastal model has quite a few Panoramino's in the POI's
