A collection of placemarks showing some yurts, a nomad camel caravan (I think) and large herds of animals. Found in northern Mongolia

Here are some more sites I found in the same area. There are more yurts and herds of animals but also some more permanent settlements. There is also a very large area where the sand appears to have been 'combed' as if for farming although that hardly seems plausible.
By the way, have you seen The Story of the Weeping Camel? According to the offical webpage since 1990 some 25% of the population of Mongolia have moved off the land and settled in the capital Ulaan Baatar. This probably accounts for the large number of yurts that can be found there especially in the outlying (newer?) suburbs.

Congratulations !
Regarding the identification of the animals down there, let me add here after information I have gathered from an excellent documentary on TV in France ("In the nature with Stephane Peyron").
To be able to live in autonomy from their cattle, the Mongolian nomads use to have, or should have, FIVE species of domestic animals :
- a few camels, to carry the yurts and furniture - cows or similar, milk and meat - goats, in particular Angora goats, for their wool, that they sell at good price in Ulan-Bator - sheeps, for their wool, meat, and milk - horses, as a specialy, a source of pride and cash
A rather wealthy nomad family would have up to 1.000 heads of cattle.
During the winter season, they first send the heavy animals to crush the icy snow crust, then the ligher animals which can get access to the grass under the now crushed snow.
Therefore, down there on the picture, I would suggest that all those animals can be found, and because of the not so good resolution, it's difficult to identify which is which.

For me it does look like cow herd. In this part of Mongolia people usually grase cows but not camels.

hi friend! here you are a related quotation from very good historical glossary about the hungarian way of life in the past:
ANCIENT HUNGARIAN SETTLEMENT AND DWELLING PLACES Continuous movement and migration to supply animals with the necessary grazing grounds, were essential parts of life in the steppe. Its customary rhythm was determined by the alternation of seasons. A typical feature of the nomadic life-style was the use of round tents, the so-called yurts, that were portable and easy to take apart and put together.

Yurts have dome-shaped roofs, grated sidewalls and were covered with multi-layered felt. During migrations, they were carried on pack animals, though sometimes they were fastened to carts. Their inner space division was strictly determined. Facing the door, men owned the right side, women had the left side, and the place next to the door was the place of daily work. The fire-place was in the center and its smoke could leave freely through a hole on top of the yurt. This hole could be closed by a blanket that was pulled by a string, and the door was covered with a carpet. The house thus consisted of only one room. People's properties, clothes and foods were kept in leather sacks or wooden chests placed near the wall, covered by carpets. Weapons and objects of every day use were hanged on the wall, which was made of laths. The Hungarians used these yurts as their summer place of living long after the Conquest. ... READ MORE!
