Updated the map with more locations, aranged the the placemarks into different categories, and fixed a few things.

Change earth into mars. Heres a map of mars with geographic locations, locations of crafts landing site, a grid, and links to pictures of specific locations. Enjoy 
To change back to earth, just uncheck the "Mars map pack" folder in "My Places"

I can see that I have stayed out of this forum far too long. Nice additions to the original post. It seems like the original poster hasn't been around since mid-August. When Google Mars morphs to a Google Earth version, it looks like the resolution will improve even more.
