This is my first post, but it's a big one! So far it consists of 557 [edit: now 1,002] religious places around the world - cathedrals, churches, temples, synagogues, mosques, standing stones, etc. Virtually all placemarks include a photo, a description, and links to articles and/or photo galleries on my website, Sacred Destinations.
I hope you enjoy these, and I welcome any comments, corrections or suggestions you might have. I'm sure I'll be updating this post, but the latest file can always be found here: www.sacred-destinations.com/earth/world.kmz.

Great post Holly Lots of information and pictures, and wonderful presentation. from me! I look forward to going through it more thoroughly. Fascinating web site too.
The google maps link is only really intended for simple placemarks, so there's probably nothing you can do about it.

Thank you for posting.
There are also some Indian Mounds in Macon, GA, US. I'll try to locate them for you on GE and provide the placemark.
EDIT - ADDED: Someone already has the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds pointed out here http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php/Number/184478
