GE for Mac + Garmin GPS

I read the faqs but still need a bit of reassurance and a pinch of handholding on what Garmin GPS to buy. I know Garmin has support for Tiger 13 months ago and I'm looking at Garmin GPS devices with native USB port support. So what I am asking is what devices should I avoid or you would recommend?

My use for GPS would be to mark where I've been on GE within the Philippines so built-in maps for other countries isnt much of a priority.
