Things like that are often reflections of light within the telescope, you can see them in many images with bright (or relatively bright) stars.

it's like taking a photograph against the sun (or close to its position), you get similar things.
Although this seems to be a VERY strong one, never seen than before.

The whole dataset of Google Sky is made up of individual, different datasets that exist, maybe there was also some gap in the data !?!?
