Dear Survey team,
The last site i posted LOOKS VERY PROMISING, I CAN SEE A RECTANGLE DETAIL ON THE EDGE, THAT CAN MACTH WITH THE WING, AND HAVE SOME TRACK LIKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING.
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THE LAST TWO POST....
PLEASE SEND YOUR COMENTS.
THE LOCATION.
37º 44` 59.06 N 118º 36´ 21.28 O
SURVEY MADE BY ALEJANDRO BARNETT ABARNETT@ENTELCHILE.NET
PLEASE SEND YOUR COMMENTS ASAP,
I BEEN LOOKING FOR DAYS AND THIS IS THE BEST POINT I FIND.
You are way outside the area of new imagery. Note that we are not the survey team. You need to work through the Mechanical Turk site to contact them - but first make sure that you are looking in the correct place.

correct me if im wrong, but isnt the above well outside the new layers, let alone the search area that has been provided for us??
Bill
What good are "new layers" if it's only the last known location of him. To me a last known location can mean anything.
I dont think my question came out right, what i ment by it was arent the new layers http://s3.amazonaws.com/fossett/geoeye-color.kml from after the time of his take off, and all the other stuff older.. i have been staying inside the set from MTurk b/c i thought all other layers/default photos from before his dissapearance.. is this right??
Yes you are correct. Read this post.

Tried suggested area by Ed Dames from the C2CAM website just for the heck of it... (It happened to overlap the available color GeoEye overlay, so why not?)
Anyhow, I spotted what appears to be a creme (off-white yellow) colored aircraft on its side with various parts adjacent and what may be debris scattered to the north north east of its resting location. Not sure if this would be the color of Steve's plane, since most pictures show a blue & white color scheme as being popular for the aircraft. Becomes visible around 2000ft "earth viewing altitude" and appears only on the overlay. Length of what I presume to be the fuselage is about 20ft using the measuring tool, and landing gear and wing strut appear to be discernable features (although its badly pixelated when zoomed in.)
Not terribly far from trails/roads and right along a river bed, so the site should be readily accessable. Other user placemarks are in the vicinity, so apparently hikers and "bigfoot researchers" have been in there before.
Edit - screen cap showing what I think I'm seeing and orientation.
If you switch to the older GE image --you see the same white mark. It could be an older plane crash??--They have located 6 downed planes they were unaware off before this search. danescombe

New KMZ file with some useful layers , this is a newer version, It includes some info and recommendations...
The best way to help the search is using this link Mechanical Turk by Amazon:
http://www.mturk.com/mturk/searchbar?sel...p;=%2Fsearchbar
I ve done close to 250 different views... There are close to 100,000 views available...
In case you want to review an area you can copy the coordinates in SEARCH on GEarth and look closely...
HINT: For a better view uncheck the Terrain layer! And compare betwen old layers and new leyers following instructions that appear after clicking on the GEOEYE-Ikonos 1m network link inside the FOSSET SEARCH HELP Places...
You can also use this KMZ file I prepared... To browse around in GE.. Please Reply to this thread with new findings...

36°54'40.20"N 116°30'8.55"W ------------------------------------------ fire?
Those are all well outside the search area.
To make mechanical turk work, its best to stay inside the designated search area.
