This looks very much like a small private plane upright and facing south, can almost make out the wind screen. or it could just be natural formation that looks like a plane. I notice the new colour overlay is slightly off from the BW, to see this hit uncheck the geoeye box to put back to bw

Another shape that looks like small plane, this shape is sitting in the middle of a dark spot, could also be something natural, zoom to about 700 foot to see best, its just under the icon. I notice the new colour overlay is slightly off from the BW, to see this hit uncheck the geoeye box to put back to bw

NOTE on steves plane.
just for those that dont know.
The plane is a Citabria super decathlon, it is blue and white, ( not that you will see colours in the BW areas) and if you want to use the google earth ruller to see if the shape you see is close to the size of aircraft missing... the length is 22 foot and wingspan is 32 foot. the wings are straight and not swepted ( though a wreck can change that) and the shape of the wings are rectangular and not tapered ( same width from end to end), its a single engine aircraft.

38° 5'57.07"N 119°25'6.86"W looks like something worth investigating, though it looks more like a possible old crash site.
BTW: Where can I find a KML-file with all known crash locations and recently discovered ones? Also, the documentation and examples at mturk are rather basic and they examples of a debris field and such.

If a target is spotted in the new images, is there a way to view older imagery to see if a target is there too, which would rule out rock formations, old planes, etc.?

Yes just turn off the new overlay layer but the problem will be the older layer is much lower resolution so it probably will not help any.

Actually, I found that some older images are of better quality. The GeoEye images are off in color and very dark. Plus, the seem to be off over half a mile, at least, that is the case with the coordinates I posted above.

Just wanted to have another set of eyes on this.
I did not find it on mechanical turk, so does anyone know how i go about reporting it?
The anomaly is just SW of the marker.
