Why are Google Earth planets in low detail?

Why is it that even after the highly detailed planetary surveys such as the one conducted by the Cassini probe, the planets in Google Earth are in low detail? I would've though it easier to duplicate an 'Earth' type collage for other planets that the whole sky, but Google has compiled the sky well before other planets. Is this going to be a feature in the future?
