Google Earth Community: The Oscars Winners (1958-2008)

Hi everyone, I post here my second huge project on GE.

For all great movies lovers, this collection illustrates geographically, through Academy Awards® winners, 50 years of the best movies and actors :
From "The Godfather" to "No Country for Old Men", from "Forest Whitaker" to "John Wayne", from "Charlize Theron" to "Sophia Loren" etc ...

Oscar Statuette

The Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, are presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to recognize excellence of professionals in the film industry, including directors, actors and writers. The formal ceremony at which the awards are presented is among the most prominent and most watched film awards ceremonies in the world.

The collection includes placemarks of Academy Awards® winners in these categories :

- Best Picture
- Best Actor in a Leading Role,
- Best Actress in a Leading Role
and of course, location of Kodak Theatre, place of the ceremony !

The info ballon contains poster of the movie and picture of director/actor/actress awarded; a biography of winner; Synopsis and Trailer of the movie.
