There are two kinds of wrecks visible at the placemark titled 'wrecks, SU. 522' on the Russian Pacific coast: Some small wrecks sitting on land and a group of half-sunken wrecks in the water. Those half-sunken wrecks are 'Whiskey' class submarines. I found some pictures of them on the internet. Originally there were 14 submarines laid up there. Over the years the subs sank or were partly scrapped. More recent photos show six to ten remaining wrecks.
