barryhunter Guide Reged: 07/30/05 Posts: 596 Loc: Wales, Europe Great Britain and Ireland Grid Lines Layer(Update)       12/29/05 07:42 PM Edit   Reply   Quote   Quick Reply   Chances are if you are in Great Britain or Ireland (or not for that matter ;-) then chances are you've used Grid References, and seen the Grid Lines used on OS maps (including some Road Atlases). Well open this Dynamic Data Layer, to get GridLines plotted (similar to the lat/long grid available as part of GE), will also show the Grid Refernce of the center of the screen! Please be gental with it, its still early days, but would be interested to hear peoples milage with this. If it proves popular will make a case to put it on a better server (or google could host it, its a set of a few pure php files) It's not quite perfect, the lines are drawn stright accorss the screen, but much of the time they should actully be curved. (get an idea of the curverture by following the line of the labels) [Edit: I dont this this is a big enough of a problem to do anything, if it ever was a problem!], also it sometimes guesses wrong as to which country you are in.
