El Camino Real de las Misioneros de las Californias / The Royal Road of the Missionaries of the Californias

Many years ago, the land called California stretched from the Oregon Border in the north to the tip of the Baja peninsula. Missions were built throughout this region. Twenty-seven missions were built along the Baja California peninsula between 1697 and 1854 by members of three Catholic religious Orders. Alta California missions are located here.
