Prairie Dogs with Burrowing Owls

The great resolution in Amarillo shows a small prairie dog town which has resident burrowing owls. The owls are very close to the road. Please keep a respectful distance should you go see them.

I first saw the owls on the barbed wire fence post as I was leaving Amarillo airport on Pullman Road.
