It is more likely DD-946 USS Edson. After she was removed from the Intrepid Air Sea Space Museum and returned to the Navy, she was moored at the former New York Naval Yard for a short time before being moved to Philadelphia. I read this somewhere when I researched the ships in Philadelphia (the missing Edson greatly helped to date the GE image there). Btw, I think it is strange what Google did to New York's harbor: all those "ghost ships" that result from different images put together. It looks like they wanted to include as much interesting ships as possible, the worst example being the Queen Mary 2 just north of Intrepid.
