Google Earth Community: Mitla, Ruins Mixtecas (Ruinas Mixtecas)

Alrededor del año 700 de nuestra era, después de que la civilización de Monte Albán comenzara a declinar, los zapotecas iniciaron una comunidad llamada Mitla, de arquitectura es excelsa, cuyo nombre proviene de un vocablo náhuatl que significa "Lugar de los Muertos o Inframundo".

Hoy la zona arqueológica destaca por sus complicados sistemas de grecas, con miles de piedras, perfectamente talladas, se ha calculado que en Mitla se encuentran unas 100 mil piedrecillas, únicas en México. Las mejor elaboradas se encuentran en el patio de las Grecas.

Grecas de exquisito diseño, talla magistral y un asombroso ensamblado en los tableros, pues no se usó cemento, las piedras ensamblan perfectamente y se sostienen por el peso del conjunto, los tableros y los edificios estaban recubiertos de estuco y pintados con bellos colores naturales.

Mitla nos hace sentir la grandeza de la existencia humana, es un discurso de sabiduría grabado bellamente en sus tableros que nos recuerda que la vida y la muerte están profundamente vinculadas, ya que descubrieron que con la muerte de las pasiones animales, de la ira y del orgullo, de la codicia y el veneno asqueante de la envidia, lograron vivir en total armonía, paz, equilibrio y felicidad.

Mitla makes us feel the greatness of the human existence, is a speech of wisdom recorded beautifully in its boards that remember to us that the life and the death are deeply tie, since they discovered that with the death of the animal passions, the wrath and the pride, the greed and the asqueante poison of envy, managed to altogether live harmony, peace, balance and happiness.

No es sencillo dominarse ante las palabras del insultador, no es nada fácil eliminar de nuestra naturaleza la espantosa pereza que nos impide hacer nuestras prácticas de meditación, no solo es el símbolo de la vida, al verlas así nos da clara idea del movimiento, cosa solo posible si aprendemos primero a no malgastar esta energía cada vez que nos enojamos.
