It also indicates the project only stated in May 2005. I have been driving past them for over three years. http://www.gantryconstructors.com/desert_branch_21.html Assuming these pipes are carrying water then here is some interesting data. These pipes are 15 ft in diameter. The exposed pipe is 1024ft in length and there are three pipes. The water in the exposed section is just over 4 million gallons. (One cubic ft is 7.48 gallons). The above web site says these pipes cover a distance of 100 miles that is 280 billion gallons. There are no reservoirs in the area and no cities. The source of the water is stated as Lake Havasu which is over 100 miles away as the crow flies. Post Extras
