DavidFerguson Tourist Reged: 09/17/06 Posts: 2 Using Magellan GPS with GE+       09/17/06 11:17 AM Edit   Reply   Quote   Quick Reply   I have stumbled though trying to use my Magellan eXplorist 210 with GE+ v 4.0.2093(beta). This GPS connects using USB, and when connected it looks like a USB mass storage device. I can easily navigate to the "Points-of-Interest" (Waypoints), Routes and Track logs and see the files the eXplorist updates. When I use GE Tools/GPS, and click the OK window, I am presented with an "Open" dialog box. The only files it will let me select are .log files (the type used for Track Logs). I think the GPS import needs to work with .upt files (for Waypoints/Points-of-Interest) and .rte files for Routes. Copying the files and renaming them with .log doesn't seem to work. So -- how do I report to Google that the documentation for GPS/Magellen needs to explain the "open" dialog box and what the user is expected to do. And that the .upt and .rte files aren't available in that open dialog, so I can't import Waypoints and Routes? If anyone else has experience bringing in Magellan waypoints, please share your experiences. Post Extras
