It appears to be setting an inappropriate file mask on the 'file open' dialogue. Actually, for Explorist (and Meridian SD, but not the serial models) Tracks, Waypoints, and Routes are mutually exclusive and should therefore be a radio button array, not a set of three checkboxes. If tracks, set the file mask to ".log" and tell GPSBabel -t. If waypoints, set ".upt" and use the default of -w. If routes, set ".rte" and use -r. Serial Magellans can be any combination of tracks, routes, and waypoints. The file-based units (Explorist/Meridian SD files on a card reader or local filestore or a directly connected Explorist) can do only one mode at a time and has the extension rule. Post Extras
