Takes me back to my basic pilot training in 1946, and the first time I looped - with a female instructor, Julie, in an Aeronca Champion! During the war she had been a pilot in the Army ferrying B-17s and B-24s to Europe, then became a private instructor when she was discharged! Flyimg was - and is - a thrill, and looping was a BIG thrill. Since first looking ar GE, I've thought that I could estimate the altitude of similar flying objects, by judging their shadow and the shadow of an object of known height. Simple triganometry. I could have done it here, except the planes shadow is so mixed up with the bridge that I couldn't get a measurement on it!. Thanks. That is an exciting shot! hale Post Extras
