Earthgoogler, you mention three carriers in China. I have read reports that the Kiev was purchased and was to be used as a theme park in Tianjin in a similar fashion to the Minsk. I cannot however see it anywhere in a Chinese port. Is it really in China?
You also mention three true carriers in Italy. I can see the Conti di Cavour and the Guiseppe Garibaldi but no other. I don't think there is a listing of another carrier currently in operation.
I do not class the San Giorgio class assault ship as a carrier as it is not a flat top i.e. you cannot fly a plane off it.. Don't say you can fly Harriers off it as you can even fly those from tankers (ho ho).
How do you tell that the Wasp class carrier parked next to the Wasp is in fact the Iwo Jima. The deck number is not visible. I know there is a label in the google earth community but where does the information come from originally?
