My guess would be some sort of abandoned (?) agricultural operation, possibly a cranberry bog. There is an adjacent pond which may have been used to flood the field during the harvesting season. Also just a little west on Rt. 70 there is a large complex of what I am almost certain are cranberry bogs. Blueberries are another common crop in the area. At any rate the closely spaced rows seem highly suggestive of some sort of agriculture, but then again I could be way off. How do you know there is an electric fence around the area? Post Extras
