Edit Note: couple other things to try if you already haven't done so,,, delete your memory and disc cache in GE options, also try moving your " My Places " folder to your hard drive to isolate it from opening when you start GE, that will let you know if there is a problem there. -------------------- Link to some support answers from the past.
