Since this is my first google-earth view of Istanbul, I decided to veer from your markings and went looking for the blue mosque, hagia sophia and topkapi palace. I was surprised that they are all in the same part of Istanbul and I know these are all magnificent structures...but the topkapi palace especially is a dissapointment in this that there are just too many placemarks and paramio photos' marks and a proper view of the palace is almost impossible. You should see that some system is possible to be put into effect by which all the placemarks and paramio marks can be clustered one on the other in one corner of such views so that the ariel view is not cluttered with so many markings.(If one temporarily deletes the placemarks-earth community placemarks etc than the info becomes very limited) I was surprised to find that TOP in the word topkapi means cannon....this is the same word for cannon in persian(?) I am not very sure, but top(pronounced-toap) is used in all the languages of north India to mean cannon! Geve -------------------- geveN Post Extras
