In addition only one file format is converted to kml, namely 3ds. As a suggestion why not write a plugin to "Deep Exploration" which is what most people use to convert from one 3d file format to another. The tool already supports lots of formats and kml could be one of them. Take a look at it. I have nothing to do with "Right Hemisphere" the company behind "Deep Exploration" or any of its affiliates.
