Here is a file that displays all the countries of the world as different colors. It also has some basic information included in the description tag.

This will display, among other things, the Flag and a link to the CIA World Factbook for that country. I am looking for suggestions to make this better. Feel free to coment.

p.s. There are a few bugs that I still have to work out; most of which are listed in the "Known Problems" Placemark.

TIPS

<Ctrl> + Left Mouse Click on a Polygon (Colored Country) will bring up a balloon with detailed information. NOTE: You may have to click 2 or 3 times the very first time you do this.

The colors are created randomly by Google Earth, if you would like to see a different arrangement. Download the file again, and the colors will change.

The file in the following post is the one that I prefer because it is broken down by region first, then alphabetically.

Just one thing: there is a little mistake in the country of Guinea Ecuatorial (see the attachment). The island belongs to the country (in fact, the capital city of the country is located in the island)

Thanks. I researched the error and have corrected it in both of the previous posts. Thanks for posting. I am not that great with Geography, which is one of the reasons I put together this file.

If anyone else finds something, or thinks something should be added let me know.

it just didnt work for me. do i need google plus to show these things as well as make them?

It should work. I would try to re-download and install the most recent build. Since I don't know what kind of machine (and OS) you are using, this is the best I can do.

It does not work for me eather.
Do I need any special settings? Or GE-Pro?

That's how it looks:

I switched from OpenGL to DirectX and everything looks as expected.
Look settings in Tools/Options/View/Rendering

Now the colours of Guinea Ecuatorial and Gabon are a bit confusing (too similar)
