There have been many blog entries about Google Ocean lately..
I was thinking about how such a product could be... I imagine it running in a mode like Sky mode, but replacing the Earth globe with other globe. I guess itŽs very difficult to use the Earth globe as the 0 meters is the globe surface. Instead we need a globe to show "negative" heights.

Or maybe the new GE version will be a totally new globe beginning deep in the ocean and having some algorithm to tell the earth DEMs to be "on" over some height. The imagery layer would be under this algorithm too. And every overlay people do.

Maybe that only over the ocean, thereŽll be a "hidden" layer simulating the ocean surface where we could continue overlaying things like today.
And if we want to put a placemark in the ocean floor? WeŽll need some way to overide this hidden layer..

Anyway, I hope Google Ocean - from the very beginning - have some cool features like the ones IŽve found in an aplication called Cove, which is a free 3D software.

IŽve made a Video showing this cool aplication. There are overlays, 3D models, Animations, embebed video (in a way I would like to see in GE).

HereŽs a screenshot:

So, Googlers, we are all waiting to see the new baby asap...
