Well, a very simple version of it..

This is a flight ongoing when I post this, obviously the link may break when the plane lands, or the image is shifted and misaligned after a while. But still, it looks ok right know. Right click the overlay and type your flight code at the end of the image URL and watch your mum pass by..

Quickly find a flight in progress here (shows three letter flight codes, use just two, so UA141 and not UAL141 etc.):
