Chandra is an X-ray Observatory launched by NASA on July 23, 1999. It was sent out by the Shuttle Columbia during the STS-93 mission. As you can see I enlarged by satellite so you can see better details. The satellite is also never this close to Earth. If you ever see NASA's J-Track 3D, Chandra will usually be the farthest satellite from Earth. Created with Google SketchUp.
